It has been proven in scientific health studies that eating high fiber diet helps to treat symptoms of asthma by fighting allergic airway inflammation. High-fiber foods include whole grains, nuts, beans, seeds, raw vegetables, etc.

What diet to avoid

Asthma patient should avoid foods with too much saturated fat which may increase the risk of asthma attacks. Asthma patients also need to avoid alcohol, pickled foods, frozen shrimp, salt consumption, dried fruits, and dried vegetables. For some people, foods which can induce allergens should be avoided.
